As a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines observes its Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month throughout every April. The theme for this year is: “Awareness through networking to prevent child abuse”.

This April, the Ministry plans to host a series of activities aimed at educating people how to recognize and respond to child abuse, strengthening family relationships and fostering a community support system.

A release from the Embassay said: “The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) embraces the importance of protecting children from abuse and has been a sponsor of the annual activities for years.”
