Members of the Alliance Française, including Director Laure Courier and assistant Yasmine Wilson, among others, made trips to several schools on the windward coast of mainland St. Vincent, including the St. Clair Dacon Secondary, the Adelphi Secondary, Sandy Bay Government School and the Georgetown Secondary School.

The schools then participated in French activities such as singing and drama. A presentation was done on French countries and students did renditions of the French National Anthem. The students also took part in a French quiz in which the winners received gifts for their efforts.

The Fest began on Monday, 16 March, 2009, and ended on Friday, 27 March, 2009. The fest is celebrated all over the world among persons who love the French language. St. Vincent’s celebratory activities included a French art exhibition at the Alliance Française and a French competiton dubbed “Concour de la Plume d’or” in which the students of the Alliance Française participated.
