John said the club sympathizes with Pope and said the money is an “interim relief”.

Pope, who lost his home in July last year, thanked the club for their generosity. He is currently seeking employment and is sending an “urgent response from anyone who is interested to help this family”.

His common- law-wife Camesia and daughter Notoria were also present at the brief ceremony.
