New Identity for National Investment Promotions Inc


The National Investment Promotions Inc (NIPI), the Investment Promotions Agency for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, will have a new corporate identity by April 2009.{{more}}

NIPI recently signed a contract with Accela Marketing, of St. Lucia. Accela is best known throughout the region for launching the Digicel brand throughout the OECS and in Barbados.

Edmond Jackson, Chairman of the NIPI, stated that the NIPI is in need of an identity that is recognizable and dynamic and clearly indicative of St.Vincent and the Grenadines as an ideal location for sustainable and rewarding investment for local and foreign investors.

Managing Director of Accela Marketing Agnes Francis thanked the NIPI for the opportunity to work on a project of such significance for St.Vincent and the Grenadines. “This exercise is more than a renaming exercise; it is about defining a unique market positioning for St. Vincent and the Grenadines that commands the attention of potential investors and lets them know that St. Vincent and the Grenadines “Means Business” she explained.

In 2007, the NIPI received a grant of EURO 1.1 million from the European Commission. The funding will be used to conduct several activities aimed at creating economic diversification through private sector development (SFA 2004).

NIPI is responsible for attracting and facilitating local and foreign direct investment. To date, the organization has facilitated investment worth over USD 350 million.
