CED conducts Management workshop


Supervisors are now better able to carry out their varying roles. This is after a two-day workshop held at the Knowledge Institute in Kingstown.

The workshop, which was conducted by the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc (CED) through its Business Gateway Project, saw 60 participants being trained.{{more}}

The “Supervisory Management Techniques” training course was held on June 17 and June 18. The participants covered areas such as Success Strategies in the Changing and Competitive Environment, Winning Employees, which dealt with attitudes and professionalism of the winning employee, and the Supervisor/Employee relationship which focuses on motivation, empowerment and difficult employees.

Simone Murray, Manager of the Business Gateway Project, urged the participants to take the opportunity to receive as much as they could from the training program.

The workshop forms part of the Business Gateway Project which is funded by the European Union and the Government of St Vincent and Grenadines. The aim of the project is to develop the private sector in SVG. The project offers training to persons

to help develop their individual skills free of cost.

The workshop was conducted by Consultant Monica Thomas-Woodley. (VM)
