Anderson said: “Now it is time for VINSA to spread its wings and establish itself as a structured organisation willing

to go the extra mile for its members as well as the community within which it operates.”

Serving on the executive are: Herona Bute-Black, Vice President; Jeanette Fitz-Patrick, Secretary; Trereca Bruce, Assistant Treasurer/Secretary; Ronnise Henry, Treasurer; Rochard Ballah, Public Relations Officer; Kerry Stewart, Utech Representative; and Cylena Andrews, Cultural Entertainment Chairperson.

During the upcoming academic year, Anderson plans to embark on implementing a constitution for the organization. She noted that this would ensure accountability for everyone within VINSA, as well as greater participation through the formulation of various committees.

Among the plans that the executive

will pursue are a membership and charity drive, the development of a VINSA website, the introduction of a yearly overseas trip and fortnightly off campus weekend socials.
