ICT Training Project begins


Successful applicants who have applied to the National Information Communications Technology (ICT) Training Project for funding support to entrance their ICT skills have begun training. The first beneficiaries are currently undergoing training at the National Centre for Technological Innovation Inc. (NCTI Inc).{{more}}

Over the next 18 months, 2,000 Vincentians are expected to benefit from a range of basic, intermediate and advanced courses which are designed to enhance the marketability and technical skills of Vincentians in ICT and related courses.

Applications are still being invited. Application forms and brochures for all courses can be collected at all district post offices in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Project Office, the Ministry of Telecommunications and Learning Resource Centres around the island. Training is open to all Vincentians: hence the Project is especially focused on adding rural people who previously, because of their locations, were impeded from obtaining training in ICTs.

A number of Learning Resource Centres and other available facilities in the out-districts will be used for training purposes.

The project is also reminding persons who have collected application forms to drop these off at the office downstairs the Kingstown Cooperative Credit Union Building next to the Seventh Day Adventist Church or at any post office in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
