The gift is a donation from Sharon Ambrose-Mulzac, a former Home Economics teacher at the school, now residing in the US, and some past students of Union Island Secondary School, also domiciled in the US. Ambrose-Mulzac spearheaded the donation upon a request from Principal Godwin E. James. The contribution is expected to greatly impact the delivery of the school’s Home Economics programme, which has been extended to the Junior school since September, 2006.

Principal Godwin E. James expressed profound thanks, on behalf of the parents, staff and students of U.I.S.S, to Mrs. Ambrose-Mulzac and all others who donated the kitchen utensils and gadgets to their alma mater and community.
