NDP holds convention on Sunday


The New Democratic Party (NDP) will hold its national convention this Sunday, April 27, 2008.{{more}}

According to a release from the party’s Public Relations Officer Vynette Frederick, “a noted regional head of state will address the gathering as the NDP explores the theme RESTORE DEMOCRACY: Let Freedom and Justice Reign”.

The convention will take place at NDP Headquarters and will see the honouring of party stalwarts from among the party faithful throughout the constituencies. The NDP Party President Arnhim Eustace will address his supporters and well wishers and the Young Democrats on burning issues affecting Vincentians, the release said.

The morning session is open to the public. The closed afternoon session will handle party business as the NDP continues its buildup throughout the St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
