During the ceremony, designers, cosmetologists, manufacturers and beauticians will be rewarded for their contribution to the Beauty Industry in the Caribbean.

The beauty, fashion and life style magazine of the Caribbean now celebrating its 5th Anniversary has attracted North America’s largest and most prestigious model management agency to Barbados. In confirming her company’s participation, Corinne Nicolas, President of Trump Model Management, said: “I’m looking forward to hopefully finding some wonderful new talent in Barbados.” Nicholas will be accompanied by Grey Worldwide Advertising Executive scout Luisa Liriano.

The delegates of this year’s competition will be fortunate to have the eyes of Trump Model Management since they are looking for new talent in the Caribbean. The 2008 Face of Shabeau activities will be held over a period of three days, during which time they will take part in a number of activities such as interviews, a styled photo shoot on board a catamaran, a motorcade on April 19th through the streets of Bridgetown, where they can practice their PR skills. The winners of the competition will be chosen by the International scouts.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be represented by Odini Sutherland and Andrew Russell. The other countries in this year’s competition will be Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, St. Kitts, Grenada, USVI and the Cayman Islands.

The winners of the competition will be featured on the cover of Shabeau magazine and, like their predecessors, will travel throughout the region as Shabeau’s ambassador promoting the magazine, and audition in the US for lucrative job bookings.

The Red Carpet fashion event will be held on April 19th, at 8 p.m. at the Sherbourne Conference Centre.
