Blues Fest patrons told ‘Don’t bring cameras’

Patrons to the 2008 Blues and Rhythm festival are being asked not to bring cameras to the event scheduled to take place at the Emerald Valley Casino this weekend.{{more}}

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Ministry which is the organizing body of the March 7th – 8th event, said that it is depending on the public to comply with the regulation, aimed at ensuring a problem free festival.

According to the release, only designated photographers will be allowed to take photos of the performers, and be allowed backstage and in the dressing rooms.

The designated photographers are not permitted to use flashes on their cameras, and are only allowed to take pictures during the first three songs of the artistes’ performance.

Persons attending the shows are being reminded that entrance to the venue will be at the intersection at Pembroke at Knights Supermarket, and the exit will be at Twenty Hill.

The first night of the event will feature the band Touch, Collin Peters and friends, David Rudder, Mike Phillips and Regina Belle.

Saturday’s card will feature Hottsand, Akcess, Kyron Baptiste, Jamesy P, Freddie Jackson and Shaggy.
