The accident, which was one of the nine reported over the weekend, occurred around 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 19th, in North Union.

The friends, who spent most of the day at La Soufriere, were traveling in the direction of Kingstown in vehicle T3562, owned and driven by Charlon Archibald, of Lauders, when according to police reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle flipped on its side and skidded until it hit the rails of a bridge just outside of the North Union Secondary school.

According to reports, the columns of the bridge prevented the vehicle from falling into the river below.

All passengers were rushed to the Georgetown Medical Centre with injuries about their heads and bodies, with three persons, including the driver, transferred to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
