The elderly heard from James Clarke – Chairman of the group, and from New Democratic Party caretaker for the South Leeward constituency, Nigel Stevenson. Stevenson talked to the elderly of love and that we need to appreciate each other for who they are.

He spoke of himself and the group’s Secretary Ken Abraham who are on different political sides, but are very good friends, saying it shows that love and respect can be alive even in differences.

At this event, two wheel chairs were handed over, one to an amputee of Clare Valley by Mr. R Hyman and the other to the N.I.S Centre for the retirees at Cane Grove by Mr. and Mrs. Hew Baker.

The elderly listened to sweet pan music by Fedo Joseph accompanied by Maurice Slater on keyboard.
