Assistant Nutritionist in the Ministry of Health, Terry Regis, told the students about food values and the six food groups and why it is important for them to eat these types of food.

She also spoke to them about the consequences of eating too much fatty foods, and urged them to encourage their parents to prepare fried chicken at home instead of buying fast food.

Nutrition Awareness Week began on Sunday, with a church service, and is being held under the theme, “Healthy Life Style, the way to go”. The week will conclude today with an exhibition under the gallery of the Post Office building, starting at 9 a.m.
