Students return from Camp in Venezuela

Thirty-two fourth form students of the Girls’ High School returned home on Saturday after a week-long camp in Venezuela, where they sharpened their Spanish speaking skills, while taking in the beauty and culture of the South American Country.

The students left here on March 31st on a Conviasa airline flight which was provided by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who had promised to assist the students with their trip.{{more}}

While in Venezuela, the students, who were accompanied by four teachers, stayed at a student camping facility in the city of Merida, where they learned to speak Spanish more fluently with the aid of tutors.

During down time, they took the opportunity to go on sightseeing tours, including a visit to a fish farm, a zoo, and enjoyed a cable car ride to the highest mountain peak in the Country: El Teliferico.
