After a four-month wait, the highly anticipated Preliminary Investigation into the March 5, 2006 death of the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary and Personal Aide, Glenn Jackson, got underway last week Thursday at the Serious offences Court in Kingstown.{{more}} The new court room situated upstairs the Cooperative League Centre played house to a packed room as family members of Jackson and murder accused Francis “Prickle ” Williams assembled in court to witness the proceedings.

However, the case was not heard because the lead prosecutor, Gilbert Peterson SC, who had recently arrived from Trinidad and Tobago, asked for an adjournment to facilitate further disclosure on some statements related to the case. Chief Magistrate, Simone Churaman granted an adjournment until Monday November 6, 2006.
