David Glynn’s body laid to rest

David Glynn, a young man who drowned at the Brighton Salt Pond 11 days ago, was laid to rest on Wednesday, July 19.

The Coast Guard discovered Glynn’s corpse on Thursday, July 13, two days after he was reported missing at sea while on a church outing. His body was found near Johnson Point, 400 yards off Calliaqua.{{more}}

The funeral service took place at the Kingstown Evangelical Church.

Last week after the Liberty Lodge resident’s demise, his family expressed the desire that his body would be found so that some closure will be brought to his tragic death.

The 23-year-old was the son of Bernica and Junior Glynn.

He was a former student of CW Prescod School, the Lodge Village Government, the Bishop’s College and the Layou Technical Vocational School.

David was described as a fun-loving Christian young man who was honest and never turned away from the church.
