Williams wins Courts prizes

“Hello, may I speak to Sharlanda Williams?” Those were the words that came just before Williams was told of her good fortune. Williams, a resident of New Montrose and an ex-employee of Courts said that she was excited when she learnt that she had won the opportunity to spin the jackpot wheel.{{more}} She said that she is happy to now be an employee of the Treasury Department because if she were still at Courts, she wouldn’t have been eligible to enter the Competition. Williams left the competition with $2,500 worth of Courts vouchers and $1,500 worth of jewelry from Voyager. She said that she didn’t expect to win but that she would rather have prizes from the categories than the $10,000 jackpot prize.

The Courts Jackpot Competition is new for 2006. For every $50 spent at Courts you are awarded an entry into the jackpot competition and are further awarded one entry for each additional $250 spent. The winner spins the jackpot wheel three times. Each picture that comes up represents the prize that the person will take home with them. If the jackpot picture comes up 3 times, the person has the chance of doubling their winnings. There will be five draws this year with the next one scheduled for the end of September. With each of the draws the value of the amount that can be won increases, in December the amount that could be won in total is $100,000. Courts’ Marketing Officer Alexis Harry wants Courts customers to know that entries will remain in the competition up until the very last draw. Harry advises credit customers that their accounts need to be up to date in order for them to be entered into any of the prize draws. Prizes include groceries for a year, jewelry (sponsored by Voyager), travel vouchers for any Caribbean destination among other things.
