Regional Ozone meeting


Thirteen Caribbean countries and several Regional and International bodies will gather here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the Regional Meeting of Ozone Officers later this month.

The event will be hosted by Ministry of Health and the Environment and will take place at the Haddon Hotel from April 24th to 28th. {{more}}

Delegates are scheduled to arrive in the state on April 24th and the official opening of the meeting will take place on Tuesday 25th April at 8:30 a.m. at the Haddon Hotel.

The opening ceremony will be addressed by representatives of the Ozone Secretariat, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Multilateral Fund Secretariat. Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Douglas Slater will declare the meeting open.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Environment Canada (ENC), the University of the West Indies (UWI), the United Nations Environment Programme, Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNEP/ROLAC) and the Ozone Secretariat will also be represented at the meeting.
