Brathwaite is new Deputy Governor of Eastern Caribbean Central Bank

Trevor Brathwaite officially took office as the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) on Monday, April 3, 2006, the first working day of the Bank’s financial year.

The new Deputy Governor is no stranger to the central banking arena, having served as Saint Lucia’s representative on the ECCB’s Board of Directors from October 2002. He brings to the position a wealth of experience in financial management in both the public and private sectors.{{more}}

Brathwaite worked with the Government of Saint Lucia in various capacities, since 1992. He was the Comptroller of Inland Revenue from 1995-2003, and held the position of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, International Financial Services and Economic Affairs from 2003 to 2006.

An accountant by profession, Mr. Brathwaite was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick in Saint Lucia, New Zealand and Barbados, prior to his appointment with the Government of Saint Lucia.
