Never has Mexico and St. Vincent and the Grenadines been as close as they are today thanks to you, Dear Ambassador.”

In response, Ambassador John said he was honoured and humbled to receive the highest award that Mexico awards to non-nationals. He also thanked the Vincentians who turned out to witness the ceremony.

The Ambassador apologized to them for his absence from many of the functions organized by the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Association because of his hectic travel schedule. He added: “This is why I am very appreciative that even though I have not been around to attend your activities, you have made the time to be here in support of me… You are still one of the most important reasons that the Embassy of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is in existence, and we are here to serve you.”
