THE CONSTABLE charged in connection with last week’s multi-million-dollar dope haul in St Lucy, Barbados was allowed to go home on $60 000 bail.

However, Constable Shawn Leon Yearwood, 32, of Grant’s Avenue, Westbury Road, St Michael, had his passport confiscated and will be reporting to the District “A” Police Station twice a week, the same station to which he was attached. He will return to court on September 20. {{more}}

Yearwood did not plead to the charge that, between April 13 and 15, he did a series of acts with the intention of perverting the course of justice in that he, as the owner of a vehicle registration number MU358, and having knowledge that Audley Leacock transported a controlled drug in the same vehicle, failed to identify Leacock as the driver of the vehicle and also failed to report this information to police.

Saturday, two men, Glenroy Orlando Clarke, 30, and and Korey Redford Amory Harding, 28 were remanded for their alleged roles in the drug haul.
