The NDP’s 29th Annual Convention is being held under the theme “Democrats continuing its consolidation, saving our nation” and will be held at the party’s headquarters Democrat House on Murray’s Road.

The NDP said in a release that addresses to the forum will come from party founder and former Prime Minister of seventeen years Sir James Mitchell, president and political leader Arnhim Eustace and chairman Dr. Linton Lewis.

The party leader is expected to make “some special announcement” as the party is “busy making preparations for its return” to political office.

The party will also honour fifteen (15) party stalwart, one from each constituency, and will honour three deceased members Kelvin Gibson, Stuart Nanton and Owen Walker.

The convention will also hear reports from the youth arm, Young Democrats and from the Women’s Arm.
