The radio station closed its operation yesterday afternoon due to high flood waters in its studios on High Street.

Staff said electrical fittings in the studio are under water and precautionary measures were taken to evacuate the building.

There was no noon newscast, but information liaison to the President, Robert Persaud, was on air just about noon updating the nation on the flood situation.

Assistant Editor Kwesi Isles said the evening news was prepared in an office at the Homestretch Avenue location.

Meanwhile, listeners to the Breakfast Show are expected to hear their programme today from the outside broadcast unit.
