This year’s honourees were musician and biologist Kerwyn Morris and Rebecca Boyce-Jackson, proprietor of Bertha’s Boutique and Gift Shop.

The honouring of Vincentians follows a 1986 decision made by the grouping to publicly honour “any person of Vincentian origin or fellow black man or woman whose past and present life’s activity was deemed to be of merit by the Association”.

Morris, who was the Association’s first president, received his plaque here at home when Maurice Conliffe and his wife, while here on holiday, presented a plaque to the biologist at a dinner held at the Calabash.

Boyce-Jackson received her plaque at the Association’s ceremony in Montreal.
