A team of engineers and other technical specialists based in Puerto Rico, where the company’s regional headquarters are located, also arrived on this flight to assess damage and commence work to restore wireless communication to the island.
The aircraft returned to Puerto Rico in order to replenish supplies, and returned to Grenada on Monday, September 13.
The company says it has taken the decision to coordinate its relief efforts regionally with Vice President for the Caribbean, Stephanie Barriault, going to Grenada with the team in order to assess the situation first hand.
AT&T Wireless St. Vincent and the Grenadines has also contributed by sending much needed supplies to assist the people in its sister island.
Relief efforts are also now in progress for the Cayman Islands, where AT&T plans to send emergency supplies soon.
