Assistant Administrator Antoinette Jardine also revealed that the majority of the subjects fell within an 80-100% success rate.
According to Jardine, subjects like Food and Nutrition, Home Management and Principles of Accounts had 100% passes while Social Studies, Principles of Business, Office Procedure, Integrated Science, English Language, English Literature and History recorded passes in the 90% area. French, Geography and Spanish fell into the 80-89% bracket while Biology was around 67%.
Jardine said that some more work needs to be done on the sciences, Information Technology and Mathematics, all which fell under the 50% mark, with Mathematics being under 40%. Nobody passed Visual Arts said Jardine who is of the opinion that this subject needs to be reviewed as it seemed to have presented a problem not only at SJCK but at other schools both locally and regionally.
Meanwhile, SJCK’s counterpart the St.Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua recorded 100% passes in Agricultural Science (double award) and Home Management with a total of six students getting nine subjects and one getting ten.
Receiving ten subjects with six distinctions was Casroy Cain. Cain is currently in the Republic of China on Taiwan on a full scholarship, awarded to him by Ambassador Elizabeth Chu.
The students with nine subjects are Nikeisha Alexander, Shelly-Ann Alexis, Tahirah Davis, Madonna Noel, Adrian Wyllie and Calvert Edwards.
