Australia Prime Minister says congrats to SVG

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has begun receiving congratulatory messages in recognition of its 25th anniversary of independence.

Prime Minister of Australia John Howard has written to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves conveying to the government and people of this country his warmest wishes together with those of the Australian Government and people.{{more}}

Prime Minister Howard wrote, “May I express my confidence that the friendly relations existing between our two countries will continue to prosper in the coming year. Please accept my personal congratulations and the assurance of my highest consideration.”

St. Vincent and the Grenadines gained its independence from Britain in 1979 and will celebrate its 25th anniversary on October 27.
