Gospel Fest climaxes this weekend
The 2014 SVG Gospel Festival will officially climax this weekend with two programmes, on Friday and Sunday nights.{{more}}
On Friday night, the Gospel Fest Committee will stage a special song night entitled: âSing A New Songâ at the Faith Temple Church in New Montrose, in which artistes are being encouraged to sing an original song and win prizes, with a possible opportunity of having their song recorded. Performances will come from Christ Combatants, Reynold Quashie, Cecil Gordon, Gospel Gems, Curtis WAW, Holirem Ministries and others, with a special guest appearance from Evangelist Shirley Browne. The programme begins at 7 p.m.
On Sunday night, at the Victoria Park, the National Gospel Showcase will take place. There will be performances in song, dance and drama from some of the most outstanding artistes coming out of the zonal showcases held last weekend. Scheduled to appear will be: Gabriella Gurley, Kingdom Ambassadors, Overland Baptist Church Dancers, HHC Group, the AFM Dancers and others.
Special guests for that evening include: Called Out, Alive, Destiny and Vincentian recording artiste, based in the BVI, Warren Ollivierre of Bequia. Evangelist and gospel singer Marvia Providence of Canada will be the featured artiste.
The 2014 SVG Gospel Festival is being celebrated under the theme: âExperiencing the Power of Godâ. The festival is into its 12th year.
