Shaunelle is new face of Courts St Vincent Ltd
Shaunelle McKenzie is the face of the 2013 Carnival promotion of furniture and appliance giants, Courts St Vincent Ltd, with her new up tempo soca hit, âUp in Datâ.{{more}}
With a little tweaking, McKenzieâs song for the promotion, which began last Friday, is now âI up in Dat at Courtsâ.
The song has also been remixed and reduced to a length of 45 seconds to coincide with the promotion.
Addressing last weekâs launch of the promotion, Courts marketing executive Alexis John said âUp in Datâ has been bombarding the airwaves and a number of persons have been gravitating to it.
âItâs one of the biggest songs on the radio and, as a result, that song is the song that we will be using during our Carnival promotion and campaign,â John explained.
âThe Shaunelle brand has been around for 20 years and we see her as the perfect fitâ¦â John added.
The âI Up in Dat at Courtsâ promotion offers customers the opportunity to earn free Carnival packs for the Carnival Monday road jam with the purchase of any item valued $699 or more, cash or credit.
Customers who shop on credit also do not have to pay anything down for a maximum of 30 days.
According to John, there will also be big savings on specific items in the store.
He said customers can also take advantage of the offer of extended warranty of two years on electronics, appliances and furniture.
âWe have a number of wow deals and combo deals. Youâll be getting two or more products for one low price. You can also find your match during this Carnival season. We have matching appliancesâ¦
âNo one does it better when it comes to matching appliances. Also we have a number of audio systems to choose from. LG, Sony⦠so you can enjoy the biggest sounds.
âSo you need to be âup in datâ,â John added.
Addressing the launch, a jolly McKenzie said she was thrilled to have learnt that her song had been selected as the theme song for the companyâs promotion.
âI want to say thanks on behalf of myself and the entire Island Network family and we are proud to be associated with a company that gives back to the local artistes and to Vincentians on a whole.
âSo, this year, remember we are shopping at Courts. We up in dat at Courts,â McKenzie said.
The free Carnival pack includes a T-shirt, drinks bottle, power band, and bandana, which allows persons to be a part of the Mustique Company and The Network band for Carnival Monday. (AA)
