Confident Fayasha takes Miss North Leeward crown

Miss Troumaca Fayasha Lewis, sponsored by Providence Electronic Solution, demonstrated consistency and confidence to capture the 2013 Miss North Leeward title.{{more}}

Lewis an 18-year-old student at SVG Community College, pursuing studies in Law and Spanish, won from a slate of six contestants representing various villages in North Leeward. She won three of the four judged categories on the evening — Best Swimwear, Best Evening Wear and Best Interview.

Ocean Edwards, Miss Petit Bordel won the Best Talent category.

First Runner-up was Deshia Murray, Miss Fitz Hughes, sponsored by Skittles J’Ouvert Band and the Second Runner-up position went to Ocean Edwards, Miss Petit Bordel, sponsored by Unique Furniture.

Other areas judged before the show were: Facebook people’s choice and Most Photogenic, won by Kayanna Stephens, Miss Chateaubelair, sponsored by Sensaytionz Ltd.

Miss Congeniality was won by Shakeela Anthony, Miss Golden Grove, sponsored by Chateaubelair Service Station.

The other contestant was Miss Rose Bank Kaywana LaBorde, sponsored by DAS Entertainment Gold Fever J’Ouvert Band.

Kenesha Edwards was Miss North Leeward 2012.

Following the crowning of Miss North Leeward, revellers took to the street for J’Ouvert then returned in the evening for the Street Party to climax Carnival activities in North Leeward.
