Carice places 3rd in Miss Caribbean World pageant

Miss SVG 2013 Carice Glasgow placed 2nd runner up in the 8th Miss Caribbean World pageant, held in Tortola last weekend.{{more}}

The pageant was won by Miss British Virgin Islands Sharie B. De Castro, who won the categories of best intellect, best evening wear, best talent, best poise, and best swimwear. First Runner-Up was Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour-Shillingford, who won the categories of Miss Photogenic and best swimwear. The fourth runner up was Miss St Kitts-Nevis, Trevicia Adams.

Contestants competed in costume, swimwear, talent, evening gown and interview. The personal interview was held on May 1.

The other participants were Antigua and Barbuda – Ranee Laronde; Bahamas – Mea Petit Homme; Cuba – Daniela Garcia; St Croix – Cliaunjel Williams; St Lucia – Joy-Ann Biscette; Trinidad and Tobago – Sonia Millington and USA – Jaielean Thomas.

Carice’s chaperone was Merlon Yearwood.
