Carice to represent SVG in Jaycees 51st Queen show in Antigua and Barbuda

The Carnival Development Corporation, through its Beauty Shows Committee has announced that Carice Glasgow, Miss SVG 2012 and Annette Francois, Carice’s chaperone, will leave the state on Monday, for Antigua and Barbuda.{{more}}

While in Antigua, Carice will represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the 51st Annual Jaycees Queen Show, which on August 3 at the Antigua Recreation Grounds.

The show will be held under the theme: “A galaxy of enchanted royalties”, with a tag line, “Empowering women through pageantry.”

This year, the Jaycees have introduced a new element to the pageant, as there will be a pre-show next Wednesday, during which an elimination process will commence.

The names of ten semi-finalists will be revealed on the night of August 3, with a further elimination of five, leaving the top five to go forward and compete for the crown.

Contestants will compete in swimwear, talent, evening gown and interview.

Carice and Annette are expected to return home on August 5.
