LIME contributes to Massive Monday Band crowds

Vincy Mas 2012 is over and LIME must take credit for its contribution in making the festival “The Hottest Carnival in the Caribbean”.{{more}}

The journey started on launch day, May 5, when the company sponsored two trucks making whistle stops from both sides of the island. Four rural Carnivals: South Leeward, South Rivers, Calliaqua and North Windward all came in for special attention from the leading telecommunication provider and Super platinum sponsor, LIME. From all reports these rural events were well attended, in particular, the LIME Street Party.

Beside the revelry and celebrations, LIME customers took advantage of the Carnival deals which offered customers an opportunity to join the network, whether they are fixed line, internet or mobile. The headline offer for the season was the introduction of LIME XL which offered prepaid customers extra large value with LIME 357, talk for 3 minutes and get the next 57 minutes Free.

Several sponsored trademark events were staged, which included the LIME 357 launch party, which saw several thousands at the Victoria Park on May 25th to be entertained by Krosfyah, LIME Soca Dans and Khago.

LIME H2O was another event sponsored by the telecommunications provider and super platinum sponsor of Vincy Mas, in conjunction with Hot 97. The event featured Machel Montano HD and the best of the local soca artistes, and saw a very large crowd which many considered the largest H2O crowd ever.

However, it was the LIME Monday T-shirt advertising band that signaled the revival of the Monday band in Vincy Mas. For the previous three years, the company embarked on the mission to expose our music to other Caribbean cultures. This year Lavaman, Mr Killa from Grenada and the LIME Soca Dans trilled the massive crowd who sported the LIME 357 T-shirts as they partied late into the night behind and in front of two massive trucks.

“This collaboration is yet another example that LIME is a true One Caribbean company and we have to match our words with our action. The mission here is to get Vincy music into the Caribbean diaspora and getting other popular musicians to assist us with the mission. We have had many collaborations over the years and this year there is an artiste exchange with the Grenadians. Earlier this year the LIME Soca Dans performed in Grenada and this is the turn of the Grenadians to show us what’s in store for Spice Mas. These guys are now willing to work with local artistes to get their music out”, said General Manager Leslie Jack.

This year’s collaboration with the LIME Soca Dans and the regional artistes is the third of its kind in Vincy Mas and LIME promises to repeat next year since the company has agreed to extend its sponsorship of Vincy Mas for another three years.
