According to a release from Funtime, sponsors are being advertised on the back of the T-Shirts. Prints were done by Michael Ollivierre with designs produced by Dexter “Supadex” Richards who has been producing designs for this band over the past 5 years. He has also designed and printed the flyers and posters for the band.

Funtime began producing carnival Monday T-Shirt bands in 2001. Their first production featured Coyaba, Supadex, Prince Marcus and Poorsah, who went on to win the Road March title with his hit song “Hairy Bank”.

Since then, the productions flowed with new innovations every year.

The release said due to the high cost of producing T-Shirt bands, another t-Shirt band producer Omar Davis of OMS Discount center decided to team up with Funtime Promotions to produce a joint band in 2004. This arrangement lasted 5 years, when Davis decided that he no longer wanted to be fully involved in t-Shirt band productions since he was no longer based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and his visits home were less frequent.

He however continued to support the efforts of Funtime Productions.

Some of the themes produced in the past include: “Sweet SVG” and “Caribbean Unity”.

This year the band will leave from Heritage Square from 3:00pm with Artistes such as Skinny Fabulous, Fire Empress, Zola, Lively, Alla-G, Wise Guy, Ras X, Pressure and others. They will be backed by SVG’s baddest band K-Netik. The DJ is Outlaw of the Nu Koncept Family.

Revellers’ early bird package includes T-Shirts, beads, bandanas and folding water bottles for $25.00. The package is available at Music Center, Pennywise, Francois Promotions bar at Heritage Square, Dzia in Questelles, Ferdies Footsteps in Georgetown and Sion Hill Lotto booth.

The release said the promoters are thankful to all sponsors over the years and have given high praises to this year’s Sponsors: Karibbean Tire, NBC Radio, Providence Electronic Solutions, IKTV, Hairoun, Guinness, SLR and Smirnoff Vodka.
