Digicel-Canfest proceeds to go to families devastated by Tomas

Although the election fever is on, patrons (local and abroad) are highly anticipating the 4th Annual Digicel- Canfest, which is scheduled to be held on December 17 at the Victoria Park.{{more}}

With the passing of Hurricane Tomas on Saturday, October 30, the organizers of Digicel-Canfest, along with the full support of major sponsors Karib Cable, Carib Beer, Hot 97.1, IKTV, OT Factory Outlet and Edge Solutions Inc will dedicate and distribute this year’s can food proceeds primarily to the families living in the areas that were devastated by the hurricane.

In support of this effort, R.O.K Entertainment is bringing together a “Vincy All Star” cast of artistes to perform at the Victoria Park. Artistes who have contributed greatly in placing Vincentian music and culture on the international stage have all agreed to put on a performance of a life time.

In exchange for only three or more different cans of food, patrons will receive a ticket to witness live in concert Winston Soso, Becket, Poorsah, Kevin Lyttle, Zola, Bomani, Skinny Fabulous, Maddzart and the Madd Symphony, featuring D’ Lanlord and Tamisha. The show will also be graced with the presence of many other developing talents. Patrons can also expect a dancehall lyrical showdown between First Lady and Borderline. Patrons are asked to get their tickets early at the various outlets, which will be published at a date to be announced, and avoid the rush.

Three years ago, R.O.K Entertainment gave birth to a phenomenal charity event named Canfest. This event was designed to mobilize national support for the local charities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, through the use of entertainment.
