US Native Nations Dance Theatre visits St Vincent

A delegation of eight persons from the Native Nations Dance Theatre in the United States of America visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines from November 7 to 10 as guests of the Ministry of Culture.{{more}}

The programme was organized by the National Cultural Foundation and the Ministry of Culture in association with the Embassy of the United States of America to the Eastern Caribbean.

The Native Nations Dance Theatre is a non-profit organization founded by Vaughnda Hilton. It is the only professional American Indian Dance Company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Native Nations Dance Theatre is a touring dance company that performs productions based on traditional and contemporary American Indian Legends, stories and themes.

While in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the group conducted a one-day workshop in craft on Tuesday, November 9, at the Methodist Church Hall, and later that day they staged a production in music and dance at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown.
