Maddzart stepping up with new video
Adding to their already full Carnival plate, the members of the band âMaddzart and the Madd Symphonyâ are now working on a music video.{{more}}
The premises of the Silver Kiss Rum factory in Campden Park became the set for the video âMad Rumâ, a 2009 recording by the band, led by former Soca Monarch Raeon âMaddzartâ Primus.
In the video, Primus, backed by dancers from the group Urban Expressions, is a Madd scientist who has just concocted a new portion (mad rum), which is guaranteed to give carnival zombies the energy needed to last through the 2009 carnival season and beyond.
The video, which was directed by Island Konceptâs Raisa Bruce-Lyle, is expected to make its television debut later this month.
Meanwhile, the band continues its national tour as part Primusâ ten-year anniversary in the soca arena. The band is scheduled to be in action tomorrow night at the highly anticipated H2O soca fete at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
They are also scheduled to appear during the carnival season at Insomnia, Fire Fete, Mas on the Move, Shipwreck and all the rural carnival events taking place around St. Vincent and the Grenadines.(JJ)
