Soca swing is for survivors

The old adage: “The race is not for the swift, but for who can endure ‘til the end,” could have been the theme for this year’s edition of Soca Swing.{{more}}

The HITZ 103 .7 produced show, which is slated for May 31st at the Victoria Park, will cater for those party seekers who can and will party ‘from night ‘til morning’.

The show, dubbed “Survivor: the last one standing,” is expected to end when the last patron leaves the Victoria Park on Sunday morning.

Candice Sealy, head of sales and marketing at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Broadcasting Corporation (SVGBC), told SEARCHLIGHT that persons attending the show will be in for treats and surprises as the night progresses.

Patrons will be given a ‘survival kit’ containing what organizers believe to be absolute necessities required to survive the show.

Persons are being encouraged to create their own survival kits, with the person adjudged as having the best kit receiving prizes.

An all star line up of artistes including Soca Monarch Skinny Fabulous, as well as the HITZ 103.7 djs is expected to grace the stage at the Victoria Park, with an overseas based performer, yet to be named, also performing.

According to Sealy, a recuperation or blow off session is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Breakers Beach in Prospect, featuring a number of performers from the previous night. (JJ)
