Garraway wins 2009 Miss  National Heroes’ Pageant



Patricia Garraway won the Judges nod and was crowned the winner of the Miss National Heroes’ Pageant 2009 on Saturday, 28th March, at the Canouan Hard Court.{{more}}

She won from a field of five contestants and was sponsored by N & M Bar and Grocery.

She copped the Best Talent and the Best Evening Wear segment of the show.

In First Runner Up position was Bridget King, who won the Best Interview and was proudly sponsored by DQ’s BBQ Barn, and Miss Juliana Simmons, sponsored by Classic Construction, was adjudged Miss Photogenic and came in Second Runner Up.

The other Contestants in the show were Nelda Westfield – Miss Bare Necessities and Planet Hollywood, and Narissa Collins – Miss Canouan Island Council.

Each contestant gave a brief speech on a chosen Nation Builder during the interview segment of the show. They were each presented with a participatory trophy and cash prizes. Garraway also won a return trip for two to St.Vincent, courtesy Grenadines Airways, as part of her prize.

The show was organized by Entertainment Promotion, a local group on the island, in commemoration of Heritage Month. The Organizers said that the show will be an annual event and thanked the Sponsors, Contestants, Judges, Patrons and all others who made the event/show a success.
