P’tani Mas 2k8 vies for best Rural Carnival again

Giving a guarantee to all patrons of an experience never to be forgotten, the organizers of P’tani Mas 2008 are confident that this year’s carnival activities will again be adjudged the best Rural Carnival closely rivaling the National Festival.{{more}}

Tonight’s Ms. P’tani Show 2008 will see six talented Gems of the Valley take the stage with grace, style and flare. Kimberley Benn will represent Jar Plum Enterprise, Eshurnia Baynes – Eat Rite Restaurant, Matika Shallow – Red Dog Garage, Charlene Timothy -A.J. Block Making, Temora Williams- Touch of Pearl Bar and Restaurant and Mandesia Wilson -Chappies Riverside.

The show will also see the Calypso finals with finalists including Singing Mystic, I-Reality, Sache, Man Grouch, Tump-I and the Soca Show with an exciting line up of performers including Interceptor, Prep-Prep, Wet Dreams, Heights Juice, Bardo.

The official launch took place on the May 9th, 2008 followed by a number of activities including the resurgence of the P’tani calypso tent propelled by the efforts of talented calypsonians and soca artists backed by the band Sequel. The innovative Night Mas was held on Saturday June 14th, 2008.

Marriaqua Carnival will awaken before dawn with the J’Ouvert celebrations on Saturday June 21st 2008 with the culmination in grand style with the Street Jump Up on Saturday afternoon. All are invited to Come Celebrate P’Tani Mas 2K8.
