Promoter Dwight “Bing” Joseph, the man who created this country’s longest running local television entertainment package, “Guinness Power Jamz”, says he is introducing “Fire Fete” to this country.

The event will take place on Thursday July 3rd at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex and will see two of Trinidad’s leading soca bards in Bunji Garlin and his wife, Fayon Lyons, performing.

They are the 2008 Soca and Road March Monarchs respectively.

They will perform at Fire Fete with their Alliance Band along with one of T&T’s premier performers, calypsonian Mighty Explainer.

Performing alongside the Trinidadians will be St Lucia’s 2008 Road March Monarch, Ricky-T, the Vincentian bMobile Soca Dans, 2007 Road March Monarch Problem Child, Maddzart and his Madd Symphony, Hott Sand, Dennis Bowman, Skinny Fabulous and Blakie and a host of other local acts.

“We are anticipating that this event will long be remembered when it is over,” Joseph said.

Joseph said Fire Fete has the blessings of the Carnival Development Corporation, CDC, and paid tribute to the CDC for readily accepting this event as being an integral part of the entertainment package for Vincy Mas 2008.

Two lucky persons attending Fire Fete will have the opportunity of visiting Trinidad next year for that country’s carnival.
