After the show, revelers will get a chance to do their thing in the streets of Biabou in the J’ouvert action. On Saturday, the curtains will come down on the carnival activities with a street jump from 4pm. This will be from Biabou to Cedars and back. Song reinforcement will be by Sargeant Simmons, DJ Tish and Barker.

He said the queen contestants are in training and calypsonians are rehearsing their songs. He stated that patrons should not be afraid to come out because their will be a high police presence.

Several other rural communities will this weekend host carnival activities as well. They are Layou, Barrouallie and Georgetown. (VM)
