Image Agency models for charity

While Fashion Week was being held in New York last weekend, the Image Modeling Agency was holding its own show at Mariners Inn in aid Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for Abused and Abandoned Girls.

Dubbed “Follow Fashion”, the organisers did a fantastic job at transforming the area around the swimming pool into a catwalk of fashion with cool cotton designs from Kimya Glasgow, tropical looks from Vetty’s, Deb-E-Barbour’s dream wedding creations and Kyra Rodney’s unique jewellery.{{more}}

With a panoramic view of Young Island as the backdrop, the patrons were impressed as much by the suave models as they were by the clothes. It was good to see model Melissa Solomon get back on the stage after being badly beaten by an unknown assailant in her home after the Image Modeling Agency’s last show, Fashion Caribbean which was held in September.

But the real show stoppers were the agency’s adorable five and six-year-old Junior models who in their pretty dresses and pants suits struck poses that even international model Naomi Campbell would be jealous of.

Kacita Jardine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for Abused and Abandoned Girls expressed gratitude to Image Modeling Agency and to those who attended the event. Jardine pointed out that the home would help troubled young ladies from 12-18 years receive not only stable housing but also skills training so that they could be employable.
