âOur team has creatively developed a solid regional and international media plan for St Vincent and the Grenadines,â said Brown, who added that by leveraging industry relationships BET Digital Networks will deliver âbang for bucksâ in a smart partnership with the destination.
In addition to a thorough marketing campaign, Brown revealed that BET J will develop a 30 minute preview show promoting next yearâs Blues and Rhythm Festival to be held March 9 to 10, 2007. âUsing a Caribbean-based production team, we have already visited St. Vincent to shoot the show and are pleased with the progress we are making,â said Brown, who is herself from the neighboring Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
The Blues and Rhythm Festival preview show will rotate on BET Jâs âIsland Limeâ format on Saturdays along with a 30 second commercial, and a multi-media campaign which will be launched in the Caribbean and on the network. âOur team has developed a cost-effective and penetrating media buy for St. Vincent which should deliver measurable results,â said Brown.
According to Glen Beache, Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, âour multi island state caters to a variety of tastes with its rich blend of vegetation, culture, festivals, cuisine, and numerous sites of interest – both scenic and historic. It is not surprising therefore, that it was again the scene of the filming of Disneyâs blockbuster movie âPirates of the Caribbean,â Sequels 2 and 3.â
