The Christmas special on their mobile handset was also launched at the head office where Public Relations Manager for the Eastern Caribbean, Jerry George announced that persons spending $500 or more on mobile phones would receive a portable DVD player.

He also pointed out that persons who spent less than $500 on handsets would get a bag with a built in radio and said that this was part of their way of giving back to their customers.

Country Manager of the telecommunications giant Martin Bollers also took the opportunity to proudly hand over the cash prize of US$10,000 to the newly crowned Digicel Rising Star winner Kyron Baptiste on Friday November 24.

This was done before a cheering crowd that flocked to get the latest Christmas deals.

On handing over Kyron’s cash prize, Bollers said that Digicel was elated to give the winnings to Baptiste and said that this was an indication that it kept it’s word by giving Baptiste the star treatment.

The Manager also assured the public that they would also receive the star treatment when they purchase handsets and encouraged them to continue to make Digicel their number one mobile phone service provider.

The elated Bastiste expressed gratitude to the company for the opportunity to let his dream come true and again thanked the public for their support.
