The five contestants definitely celebrated their Vincentian identity in fine style with their national dresses, displays of talent and interview skills.

Toby was victorious, copping the awards for the best interview and best evening wear. Sherina Slater danced her way into first runner- up position, taking the best talent award, while Sheridan Haynes was the second runner-up. Shanelle Grant won the Miss Congeniality award and Crystal Bacchus was Miss Photogenic.

The show was interspersed with singing renditions by Felicia George and Janet Jackson, two students of the school along with soca artiste Icon. The G.H.S models, trained by Deputy Headgirl Kimeisha Bailey and wearing designs by 5th former, Tisa Providence, were a hit with the audience. Dance performances were done by the well-known La Gracia Dance Company and the very energetic “Kaos”.

Vynette Frederick added to the evening’s entertainment by being a very humorous Master of Ceremonies.

The event proved to be an explosion of talent, intelligence and, most definitely, a celebration of our Vincentian identity.
