Esther Fife launches Album

Praising her friends, family and God for inspiring her to release her debut album entitled, “For Such A Time as This, “ Esther Petra Fife hopes that her songs would strengthen people who are going through what she termed as a wilderness experience.

At a ceremony held at the Sunset Shores hotel on Friday November 3, Fife who is Trinidadian born to Vincentian parents said that she has been singing ever since she was a child and always wanted to put out an album. She admitted that as time passed she went through what she described as “a wilderness experience” and began to pen her feelings which developed as the lyrics for her songs on the album.{{more}}

Distributing copies of her album at the ceremony to the persons who helped make the production possible, Fife promised to write a book and to also make more albums available.

A former banker in Boston USA, Fife now resides in St Vincent and has two stores but confessed that her aspiration is to show people that there is hope and purpose in God.

Minister of Culture René Baptiste who attended the event, said that as a politician she knew what it was like to experience the feeling of being in the wilderness.

“Esther feels that she has to shout a joyful noise and tell it to the Lord and I must tell her that there would be criticism. You are not promised a rose garden and even if you were I have not yet seen a rose without a thorn,” she advised.

The Culture Minister also made an appeal to radio stations to play more local gospel music and for there to be a local top ten countdown.
