A Touch of Elegance

Counselor with the HIV/AIDS Unit Samuel Joyles pointed out that young people were the ones most capable of reaching out to their peers about HIV/AIDS hence the reason why youngsters residing in Health District Number Seven, from Chateaubelair to Spring Village, were recognised.

Joyles said that the award banquet also gave adolescents the opportunity to dress up and socialise with others their own age in a non-threatening atmosphere where they could be teenagers.

The counselor noted that it was not often that young people could attend entertainment functions where they could have innocent, clean, fun without the use of drugs, pulsating music and sex.

Awards were given for the Most Outstanding Female, Most Outstanding Adolescent, Best Dressed Female, Best Dressed Male and King and Queen of the banquet.
