Lyttle stands tall in Soca Awards

OECS Soca Monarch Bomani was nominated at the International Soca Awards competition which was held at Club Tobago in Queens New York, Monday. He performed his hit song WET but failed to win in either of the two categories in which he was nominated. But Kevin Lyttle stood tall with his ‘Home for Carnival’ hit with which he won Male Vocalist of the Year. It was scheduled for the world famous Apollo Theater but was changed at the last moment due to organisational problems.{{more}}

The Soca Monarch later performed at the ‘Hi Caribbean in white’ – an annual charity event hosted by Vincy NBA basketballer Adonal Foyle at the Oakland Snow Building in Oakland California.

Bomani had the crowd of West Indians and Americans grooving and moving to his hit songs WET, BOOTIE CALL, I AM Soca and Sweetness. As usual he was a crowd favourite.

He performed in New York last Friday night with his band HS PHAKTOR at Cafe Omar in Brooklyn then the Saturday night at the Grenadian nightclub the PALACE then was on a 7 am flight with his Manager/Attorney Max-E. Edwards for the five and a half hour trip to Oakland California.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to venture out into the California Market to spread the sweet Vincy Soca. This summer Bomani performed in Toronto at the Caribana, in Tortola, in Brooklyn New York, on the Parkway for Labor Day, at the annual WET FETE at KC Hideaway Brooklyn with HS PHAKTOR and is scheduled to be in Connecticut next month,” Max-E said.
